This project, a collaborative effort involving Iskraemeco, GL Charge, ADD, Iskra AMS, 3 Projekt, and Q-Mins, is at the forefront of digital transformation. It received funding through the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism, and Sport’s “Digital Transformation of Companies” tender.
As part of their presentation at the NT Conference, Aleš Tancer, IT director at Iskraemeco, and Marko Škufca, Business solution director at ADD, provided insights into the implementation of the digital twin into Iskraemeco’s production processes.
They have used a concrete example to explain the benefits of implementing a digital twin, the appropriate process areas, the necessary conditions for successful implementation and how implementation can add value at both operational and strategic levels.
“The digital twin we set up with ADD has provided us with insight and understanding of what is happening on the production lines. This will enable us to take timely action and continuously improve production and support processes, which impact the overall efficiency of machines and plants, reduce production costs, manage quality and ensure delivery reliability,” says Aleš Tancer.
Digital twins, with their ability to connect the physical and digital worlds, enable a whole new perspective on how processes work and are becoming increasingly crucial for optimizing operations, improving business decision-making, and increasing operational efficiency.
