Independent Specialist for Health and Safety at Work (m/f)

Location: Kranj, Slovenia

What are the tasks?

Carries out all tasks related to the occupational health and safety and fire protection.
Organises and performs first and periodical checks and tests of work equipment.
Participates in the preparation of instructions for safe and healthy work.
Organises and performs ordinary and extraordinary ecological measurements and analyses of work conditions.
Prepares annual plans and reports in accordance with the regulation.
Offers advice in the planning, selection, purchasing and maintenance of work tools
Prepares analyses, reports, certificates for internal and external users for the areas of responsibility
Keeps the records required for the area of responsibility.
Prepares and delivers training for employees in occupational health and safety and fire protection.
Prepares professional groundwork for the safety statement and risk assessment and other internal acts pertaining to the area of responsibility.
Reports and investigates incidents, dangerous phenomena and health damage, identifies causes and prepares proposals with suitable measures.
Organises medical examinations and collaborates with the labour medicine provider
Coordinates the measures to prevent psychosocial risks and runs health promotion schemes.
Performs internal control of the implementation of measures relating to occupational health and safety and fire protection.
Offers advice regarding equipment of other workplaces and work environment.
Analysis of sick leave and preparation of an action plan for its reduction.

We are looking for the following competencies:

University degree in a relevant field.
At least 2 years of work experience in a comparable position.
Proficiency in project management, reporting, and delivering presentations.
Knowledge of legislation related to the specific field of work and personal data protection.
Qualification and professional exam in occupational health and safety and fire protection.
Strong communication skills and active knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
An ISO 45001 internal auditor certificate is an advantage.
