The modernization of the Croatian electricity distribution system was just the beginning of what is now considered a successful and continuous path. It started by following market and customer requirements, which led to the selection of Iskraemeco’s smart devices, AM550 meters and AC750 concentrators. HEP ODS started the smart grid transformation in 2016 by integrating the SEP2W head-end system for meter data collection and processing into the utility’s IT infrastructure. With this step, the utility was able to improve its billing services and minimize system costs. Optimized metering processes enable better monitoring of metering data and allow HEP ODS to perform demand response.

After the meters were approved and accepted, we were able to deliver the products to the customer in just two months. All these values are deeply rooted in the Croatian market and it is an amazing achievement and an honor to have earned all this respect and trust.
