During Fire Safety Day, employees took part in a range of practical activities designed to strengthen fire safety awareness and preparedness. Alongside evacuation drills and hands-on fire extinguisher training, a key part of the programme was the preventive fire safety vehicle of the Firefighters Association of Slovenia (Gasilska zveza Slovenije), supported by Zavarovalnica Triglav. Through interactive demonstrations and different emergency scenarios, employees had the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice and learn how to respond appropriately in a safe and controlled environment.
The initiative reflects a broader approach to prevention: giving people practical knowledge before an emergency occurs. It also demonstrates how cooperation between companies, firefighting organisations and the insurance sector can help reduce risks and contribute to safer working and living environments.
“Safety is built through knowledge, preparation and shared responsibility. By giving our employees the opportunity to practise how to respond in real-life situations, we are strengthening not only safety at work, but also awareness that they can take into their everyday lives. Cooperation with expert organisations such as the Firefighters Association of Slovenia and Zavarovalnica Triglav helps us turn prevention into practical experience and extend its value beyond our workplace.”

Safety as part of our responsibility
At Iskraemeco, safety is part of our organisational culture and our responsibility towards employees. Regular training, drills and preventive activities help employees recognise risks, understand procedures and respond appropriately when unexpected situations occur.
Fire Safety Day also reflects our wider commitment to social responsibility and the communities in which we operate. Alongside developing technologies that support more sustainable and efficient energy management, we invest in people, in their knowledge, safety and quality of life.
Working with the Firefighters Association of Slovenia and Zavarovalnica Triglav brought specialist knowledge directly into the workplace and showed the value of connecting business, firefighting expertise and the insurance sector around a common goal: strengthening prevention and creating safer environments.
The impact of this knowledge can extend beyond the workplace. What employees learn about fire prevention and emergency response can also be applied at home and in everyday life, helping to strengthen a culture of prevention within families and local communities.
Fire Safety Day showed how practical knowledge, shared responsibility and cooperation can make prevention part of everyday life. By investing in awareness and preparedness, we are not only creating a safer workplace for our employees, but also contributing to safer communities beyond Iskraemeco.
