Iskraemeco organized its first Global Utility Day. The virtual event was held under the theme Driving the change with IoT technology in the energy industry.
Iskraemeco Global Utility Day was organized for Iskraemeco’s business partners, customers and other interested stakeholders, who were given an insight into the latest and improved Iskraemeco products and software. In addition to Iskraemeco experts, guests from various expertise also took part in the event.
After the introductory remarks, the CEO of Iskraemeco Luis Goncalves addressed the audience with a keynote on how digital disruption spur on to continue innovating and delivering future-proof solutions tailored to our customers’ needs.
He then handed over to Klemen Belec, who moderated the roundtable and spoke to guests about global trends in emerging technologies and the impact of the Internet of Things on the energy sector as a whole. He was joined by Andrej Kos (University of Ljubljana), Andrej Krajčević (Telekom), Martin Idsinga (Alliander) and Marcel Neu (Stedin). In an interesting debate, they concluded that connectivity failure will lead to energy supply failure, so the first issue for companies in the energy sector is to choose the right mobile technologies.
Afterwards, Iskraemeco experts Simon Oblak, Boris Babič and Aleš Glavina presented the new Iskrameco Energy IoT solution. The solution is based on three pillars – the new generation of Iskraemeco meters, newly designed Iskraemeco software and the various portfolio of services supporting the Energy IoT solution. During the event, our experts also answered some questions raised by the participants during the event itself.
Finally, the projects with implemented Iskraemeco solutions were presented by our business partners Roland Schwarzentruber (GWF, Switzerland) and Maarten Hektor (Involtum, Netherlands).
