The first part of the program took place at Iskraemeco in Kranj. CEO Thomas Petuaud-Letang opened the event with a speech reflecting on the company’s journey from a small local enterprise in 1945 to a global provider of smart energy solutions. He underlined that Iskraemeco’s strength lies in trust, enduring partnerships, and the ability to co-create solutions that drive the energy transition. He also highlighted the significance of joining Elsewedy Electric Group in 2007, a step that gave Iskraemeco a strong international foundation and the support to accelerate growth and expand globally.
Following his address, the company received special recognitions. Mayor Matjaž Rakovec awarded Iskraemeco a plaque from the City of Kranj, acknowledging its contribution to the local community. Vesna Nahtigal, General Manager of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (Gospodarska zbornica Slovenije – GZS), presented Iskraemeco with a jubilee recognition for 80 years of successful operation. A congratulatory letter from ENEA, presented by Tomasz Ułanowicz, Head of Measurement Section at ENEA, was also shared, highlighting the importance of long-term collaboration.
The program then moved to one of its highlights: the inauguration of a new SMT and THT production line – a €3.5 million investment and one of only two of its kind in Europe. The line increases flexibility, improves quality and efficiency, and reduces environmental impact. It is designed to meet rising international demand and position Slovenia as a center of technological excellence.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was carried out jointly by CEO Thomas Petuaud-Letang and Matjaž Han, Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia, who welcomed the investment as a step forward for Slovenian industry and proof that Slovenia can compete globally through innovation and technology.
In the second part of the celebration, guests moved to Bled, where they were welcomed by Anton Mežan, Mayor of Bled. Partners and customers enjoyed a cultural program, a medieval show, and a festive dinner.
During a special awards ceremony, CEO Thomas Petuaud-Letang and Mahmoud Mouaz, Chief Commercial Officer & Managing Director for Iskraemeco Middle East, presented recognitions to 10 key partners and customers, whose trust and collaboration have been central to Iskraemeco’s 80-year journey.
The celebration concluded with a festive cake, cut together by Maks Prokop, Global Legal and Compliance Director & Executive Board Member of Iskraemeco Group, and Thomas Petuaud-Letang — a fitting finale to a remarkable day.
The setting provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating Iskraemeco’s 80-year journey while looking ahead to its ambitious goals: accelerating digitalization, expanding AI integration, and pursuing sustainable growth with the ambition to double revenues to €500 million by 2028.
Throughout the day, partners and customers were at the center of the celebration. Their recognition, presence, and support reinforced the message expressed by CEO Petuaud-Letang: “Progress is never achieved alone. It is built together – with partners and customers who share the same vision.”
The anniversary was not only a look back at 80 years of history, but also a moment to strengthen relationships, celebrate achievements, and set the stage for a new chapter defined by innovation, partnership, and sustainable growth.
