Exchanging views and planning future steps for the Green Penguin project
The thematic conference was held in Kranj, where the project partners met exchange of views, experiences, and ideas and joint planning for Green Penguin project success.
This time, the project partners and pilot schools’ representatives met at the premises of the Municipality of Kranj, where the Green Penguin thematic conference took place. The event aimed to discuss the project’s next steps and exchange views on the application included in the project.
In the first part of the conference, the leading partner, Iskraemeco, presented the Green Penguin digital tool, which plays a crucial role in the project. This was followed by feedback from the project partners on the use of the digital tool. The participating teachers from the pilot schools shared their experiences and opinions on the integration of the digital tool into the teaching process and the implementation of activities in the pilot schools.
The conference also focused on the program for multipliers, where participants identified the key competences that teachers need for the effective use of the Green Penguin digital tool in the teaching process. Discussions focused on the development of support programs to help teachers improve their digital skills.
The conference was highly significant for all project participants as it allowed for the direct exchange of views, experiences and ideas as well as joint planning for the effective implementation of the Green Penguin project.
Today, the Green Penguin project is being implemented by a consortium of organizations, namely: Iskraemeco, d.d., the City of Kranj, the City of Ljubljana, the Association DOVES-FEE Slovenia and FEE Norway who are implementing the international Eco-Schools programme. The project is co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development. The Norwegian Financial Mechanism stands for Norway’s contribution to a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.
