In the project’s first phase, Iskraemeco in partnership with PPH Politech, is one of the four key partners delivering 600.000 smart electricity meters in 2025, supporting Enea Operator’s commitment to digital transformation. These state-of-the-art meters will feature cutting-edge technology, including eSIM and 2G/LTE CAT-M1/NB2 communication, providing real-time data exchange and greater control over energy distribution.
Driving innovation in energy management
This ambitious project follows an extensive innovation partnership process, ensuring that the meters meet all regulatory and technical requirements. The new smart metering infrastructure will allow:
✅ More efficient energy consumption monitoring for consumers
✅ Real-time data access to improve network management
✅ Enhanced distribution flexibility to support the energy transition and
✅ Grid optimisation and increased quality of energy
“The deployment of remote reading meters is a pivotal step toward modernizing the energy sector. At Iskraemeco, we are committed to delivering smart electricity metering solutions that empower both utilities and consumers. We are excited to support Enea Operator in this strategic step toward a more intelligent, sustainable energy future and, increasing the quality of energy supplied to its customers,” said Franci Čučnik, Head of Sales in C/E Europe region for Iskraemeco.
“This project is a significant milestone for Politech, reflecting our dedication to advancing smart metering solutions in Poland. Our partnership with Iskraemeco ensures that Enea Operator receives the highest quality technology with functionality of the Electricity Quality Indicators W1-W4, unique in this segment of meters, tailored to meet the evolving demands of the energy sector. We look forward to contributing our expertise to this groundbreaking initiative.”– Błażej Cąber, CEO at PPH Politech.
With the first meters set to arrive in 2025, Iskraemeco and Politech will work closely with Enea Operator to ensure a smooth and timely deployment.
“The purchase of remote reading meters by Enea Operator is not only to meet the legal obligation under the law. The functionalities that will be implemented in the meters will allow better management and monitoring of energy consumption by consumers and will enable the company to obtain current data on the quality of electricity supplied, flexibly manage the operation and development of the distribution network, which is particularly important in the ongoing energy transition. We assume that the data obtained from the meters will contribute to the optimal use of funds from the investment plan for expansion and modernization of the network.” – says Marek Szymankiewicz, CEO of Enea Operator.
