Amadej Pavšič, Independent Development Engineer, presented Iskraemeco’s research on forecasting electric-vehicle (EV) charging sessions. As EV adoption increases, understanding and predicting charging behavior is becoming an important element of grid planning.
More accurate forecasts improve the quality of digital-twin simulations, support the assessment of distribution-grid loading, and enable the development of dynamic, grid-aware charging strategies. This research also serves as a basis for future Energy Management Systems (EMS) that respond to real-time conditions, help balance local loads and reduce stress on critical infrastructure.
The workshop was an opportunity to exchange insights and present our research to other organizations working in the field of digital twins. Such collaborations help us stay connected to developments in the wider smart-energy community and guide the ongoing development of our products and research activities.
