Thomas will participate in a forum session organized by ESMIG titled “Smart metering: How to secure critical infrastructure“, which takes place on February 12. This is an important session addressing the critical importance of cybersecurity in advanced metering systems. He will address several key areas including:

- The vital role of smart metering data in the energy market
- The need to protect advanced metering systems to ensure secure data flow
- The introduction of a unified European cybersecurity framework, like the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), to prevent fragmentation in security standards across Europe
