Iskraemeco donated an insect hotel for the newly opened Bleiweis Park in Kranj, where it provides a safe home for pollinators and other beneficial insects. Insects, including bees, play a crucial role in urban environments because they pollinate plants in parks, gardens, and green roofs, help maintain ecological balance, and support food production by enabling the growth of fruits, vegetables, and flowering plants. However, their populations are rapidly declining due to habitat loss, pesticide use, pollution, climate change and urban development. This gesture is part of our broader efforts to preserve natural ecosystems in the urban environment.
As an active member of the Kranj Climate Pact, Iskraemeco has committed to becoming carbon neutral (scope 1 and 2) by 2030. We work closely with the local community and support green spaces and projects that contribute to a healthier urban environment.
Our sustainability efforts include:
- reducing our carbon footprint and using self-generated renewable energy,
- developing circular products and maintaining a transparent supply chain,
- ESG education and awareness raising.
Green spaces such as Bleiweis Park are important for well-being, air quality and biodiversity. We are proud to have contributed to this space — supporting nature, our community and a better future.
