Today, April 22, 2025, as we celebrate World Earth Day under the theme “Our Power, Our Planet”, we at Iskraemeco reaffirm our fundamental commitment – to create innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
This year’s Earth Day theme is closely related to our mission. We believe that every individual and every company has the power to help shape a better future. Our power lies in innovation, and our responsibility is to ensure that these innovations serve the planet and future generations.
Iskraemeco’s innovations for a sustainable future
At Iskraemeco, we have seen the challenges of sustainable development as an opportunity for progress for many years. Our efforts are not limited to declarations, but are reflected in concrete actions and measurable results.
As we highlighted during the recent World energy efficiency day, in 2024 we achieved significant reductions in energy consumption in our production processes:
- 23% reduction in electricity consumption
- 17% reduction in heat consumption
- 21% reduction in compressed air consumption
Our commitment to continuous improvement continues. For 2025, we have set ambitious yet achievable goals for further reducing energy consumption: 10% in electricity and 5% in heat.
How will we achieve this? Through a comprehensive approach that includes:
- Optimizing production processes using advanced sensors and data analysis.
- Further investments in energy-efficient equipment and upgrades to our production lines.
- Strengthening our commitment to green energy: Our own solar power plant covers over a quarter of our electricity consumption, with cogeneration adding another 1%. This year, we plan to install an additional solar power plant, further increasing the share of renewable sources in our energy mix.
- Upgrading the energy efficiency of our infrastructure: Following the successful replacement of all lighting with LED technology and the optimization of heating and cooling systems, in 2025 we plan to install our own compressor station and gas heating system, which will further reduce our dependence on external sources and increase efficiency.
- Raising awareness and engaging our employees, as they are a crucial part of our sustainable transformation.
